SHAMANISM
Shamanism is mankind’s most ancient healing art and maximizes the human ability to heal in a gentle, non-invasive, yet powerful way. Shamanic healing is still practiced around the world today by Indigenous people and others who are called to step into this work. Typically, through experience, Shamans come to know that all life, whether human, animal or plant, is woven together and connects through a single network of relationships.
The Shamanic Practitioner journeys between the physical world of everyday appearances and the invisible spiritual realms to access information for the purpose of healing. The shamanic journey is a remarkable visionary methods used to explore the hidden universe, otherwise known mainly through myth and dream.
Shamanic Healing is effective for animals as well as people. Animals that have had a traumatic or painful experience can lose part of their pure essence as a result. The essence breaks away so the animal is not fully present at the time of the trauma. In this way the animal protects him or herself from the full force of the trauma, which allows them to survive the experience.
Once the danger or shock of the trauma has passed the fragmented life essence may return naturally. However, sometimes the life essence can not reconnect and this fragmented part of the self is lost in the invisible realms. It is during the shamanic journey that any fragmented part is brought home, if it is ready to return.
During shamanic healing the Shamanic Practitioner will also remove any energetic blockages and these are replaced with pure power. The healing work brings a return to wholeness for the animal that will have many beneficial effects at the mental, emotional and physical level.
Barbara Tellock, Ph.D. The Woman in the Shamans Body:
"By re-establishing emotional and spiritual equilibrium a Shaman strengthens the self healing abilities of the patient"
When healing is complete I compile a healing story that has its own rhythm, advising what is best for both the animal and their human friend.

Article - Communication between Humans and Animals: "Traditionally, the Shaman was scientist, artist, priest and healer, in deep communication with the environment he or she was a part of. Jim Nollman has a vision of a new “shamanic” science where this connectedness can be incorporated. Science would gain a new quality, a new approach, where there is no polarization or separation between the scientist and the world he or she investigates. If science could open up to include this quality it would gain very much and lose nothing”. Barbara Jackli and Peter Binz
